Dede Wilsey-The obvious choice for a fundraising event.

Dede Wilsey was UCSF Medical Center’s obvious and only choice when they were looking for someone to help them raise $600 in 2007. The CEO of UCFS Medical Center, Mark Laret, said the reason why they chose her for this major project was because she always got the job done as promised and had a great sense of civic stewardship. He also said that she actually believes in the causes she is helping raising money for and with Dede Wilsey’s help they are expected to begin construction of the hospital no matter than 2011 and the complex should be standing up right and fully complete by 2014. The hospital will have a 183-bed children’s hospital, a 36-bed women’s speciality hospital and a 70-bed cancer hospital with ambulatory care facilities. Mark Laret also admired Dede Wilsey’s fearless attitude when it came to handling such large projects and she dismissed his idea when he wanted to complete the project in phases. She told him to forget about phases and told him to complete the project right away. He said this was the kind of attitude which had been very valuable to them and many organizations in San Francisco.
