I’m a mature age student at postgrad school, and have one lecturer who really goes above and beyond to help his students out. He’s the kind of teacher that inspires everyone in his class, and has such a passion for his subject that it is totally palpable in the lecture hall. Now when it came time to graduate, I wanted to get him something really different, and seeing as though I had heard he was a bit of a connoisseur for microbreweries I thought that giving him a Beer of the month club subscription would be a great, and lasting, way to show my appreciation for his work. Now my family a while back had signed me up for this great Beer of the month club that always had new and exciting beers, so I knew where to go straight up. The next month when the first case arrived I received a rapturous email from him (probably after one of two of the samples!) saying how much he loved the gift and it was the best gift he had ever received from a student. I was so thrilled that he liked it, and really there was so much more that I wanted to give him, simply because he was such a great teacher, and made my second time at uni better than my first.
